When our professional moving consultants determine the cost of your move, the following basics are taken
Depending on the number of qualified movers and trucks required, our moving consultants will assign the
optimal number of professional movers and the appropriate number of trucks for each move. This process
will minimize cost and maximize efficiency, without compromising quality and effectiveness. Our prices are
based on an hourly rate, which already includes, tolls, gas, mileage and taxes, special moving pads services
to wrap and protect your furniture, basic disassembling and assembling of all furniture, additional stops,
and the standard valuation of 60 ? per pound per item.
A AND B MOVING' customers pay only for the time used to perform the move they ordered. Your charges
begin when our professional movers arrive at the job site and ends when the movers finish unloading at
For local moves, travel time consists of the time it takes to travel to and from the job site. A AND B
MOVING, on the other hand, charges only for the travel time back from the job site to our office. Charges
are made by mileage with the minimum charge of 1hour for moves within a 25 mile radius of the dispatch
office, and an additional 1hour for every 25 miles. Your charges begin when our professional movers arrive
at the job site and ends once A AND B MOVING unloads at your destination.
The hourly rate, as noted above, includes the manpower and vehicles. All A AND B MOVING trucks are state
of the art air ride vehicles, with GPS navigation systems.
Boxes, Packing Materials, and Cardboard Crate
All packing materials used during a given move are charged for as per our tariff. If the customer packs their
goods and are ready to move, there will be no additional expense. In the event an item, such as a glass or
marble table top, glass doors, or plasma / flat screen TVs requires a cardboard crate, the foreman will
advise you of the cost and the crate will be made on the spot. A AND B MOVING will not accept any goods
in paper or plastic bags. All loose items, including gardening and lawn items, televisions, electronics, lamps,
pictures and mirrors must be boxed for safety.
Custom Wood Crates
Art works, antiques, and some marble pieces may require (or you may request) a custom wooden crate to
be built. Since the crates must be designed and built in advance, we strongly recommend that you notify
your project manager at least one week prior to your move.
Disassembly and reassembly of items such as sofas, built-in furniture, armoires and wall units will be
completed by our furniture specialist. There is an extra charge for this service. Should you need such
services we strongly recommend that you notify your project manager at least one week prior to your
Forms of Payment
We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, certified check and cash. All payments are due upon arrival of the
goods at destination. No personal checks or money order will be accepted.
